In order to keep the event and attendees as safe as possible, we have outlined a list of rules that you want to be familiar with.
No ticket sales @ gate: This event is pre-registration only, no cash sales will be allowed at the gate, make sure to tell all your friend coming to purchase a ticket by Wednesday prior to the show. Chances are the show will sell out prior to that, so act soon!
Motorized or powered transportation within the facility: With a crowd of roughly 15,000 people and growing each year, safety is top of mind and we are forced to continue evolving allowed transportation at the Ice Cream Cruise. We have had complaints about groms / pit bikes / etc speeding, coming close to hitting groups of people, wheelies, etc. Last couple year we saw a big influx of complaints which is very alarming with the increase in attendees we continue to see. This has forced us to limit what is allowed to be used for transportation during Ice Cream Cruise weekend this year, below is our policy:
(GAS) MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION (across the whole facility) are prohibited due to the increased amount of dense foot traffic and repeat safety issues.
Allowed transportation (STRICT 5MPH speed limit):
Electric & push scooters
Bicycles & e-bikes / mopeds
Goofy & slow narrow modes of transportation (cooler scooter)
Skateboards / long boards
Single seat mobility scooters for handicapped attendees (not a golf cart)
Racer transportation in the drag strip area for vehicle support & getting to drivers meeting (one pit vehicle per racer)
Strictly Prohibited
Minors / non-licensed drivers on powered transportation allowed above (motorized scooters / e-bikes / golf carts)
Groms / Rukus
Pit bikes
Golf carts
Electric / regular go karts
Drift karts
Trailer Parking: Trailers will be parked on the far south-east corner of the track, enter the track the as described in the “SHOW CAR ENTRANCE” section above. You can park your truck & trailer in this area starting Thursday @ 6:00pm
Drones: We love seeing as much media as possible from the show, but we are not allowing drone flights this year without prior approval - if you are a LICENSED drone operator (and can send proof) and belong to an automotive media outlet, send a request to 1320video@gmail.com. You are required to send us your footage for promotional use within 7 days of the event.
Camping: will be available starting Friday @ 8am, Saturday, and Sunday nights at I29 Speedway, no water or power hookups available. NEW for 2024 - Limited camping spots at the north end of the drag strip and on the far south side of the facility. You will need to pay weekend admission rates and additionally for a camping spot, both available via pre-registration and day of, if spots are still available.
Grills (not the Johnny Dang type): Grills in the show are not allowed for safety reasons, there will be plenty of food vendors at the show to keep you fed! Gas grills or coal burning grills in the CAMPING AREA are allowed as long as you don't leave your coals behind. Self contained fire pits where you take your coals afterwards are allowed, nothing allowed on the ground.
Bring Cash: Please bring cash with you some food vendors may have issues with cell service to run credit cards. CASH IS NOT PERMITTED FOR ADMISSION TO THE EVENT.
Rain: Saturday’s car show is RAIN OR SHINE - Unless we are certain of severe weather we plan to have the event as planned! Decisions on racing will be made shortly before they are scheduled.
Dyno: There will be a dyno competition 11:00am-9:00pm - The dyno will likely run until sunset but the prize will be determined by 6:30pm before awards.
Food & beverages: Will be available throughout the show all day from a large variety of vendors!
NO outside alcohol allowed, PERIOD. Alcohol brought into the property will be confiscated and destroyed.
Advertising: Non-sponsor advertising is strictly prohibited (including branded tents) - All food truck, vendor & sponsor packages are sold, if you’re interested in joining next year please email: icecreamcruise@gmail.com for future consideration!
Pop-up tents: ALL tents MUST be secured well in case of wind to prevent damage to cars.
Pets: on leashes are welcomed & encouraged! Please be mindful of the weather and bring food/water for your furry friends.
Car Show Parking and Cruising: All cars are parked in the grass for the car show, not on pavement. Cruising within the show is prohibited for safety reasons, your car needs to remain parked unless you are leaving the show.
Racing & Burnouts: these are STRICTLY prohibited anywhere on or off the property unless participating in the official Ice Cream Cruise Burnout and Racing events. Local law
We look forward to seeing you this year!
